SYSTEM DESCRIPTIONS developed by OMCSI are "Reader-Friendly" documents that describe the function and operation of the particular systems. A typical system description is outlined as follows:
System Descriptions can also be produced in Power Point for ease of computer use if requested (see System Power Point). [back]
[back] OPERATING PROCEDURES are developed by OMCSI and include detailed step-by-step procedures on how to place a particular piece of equipment (or system) into service or take it out of service. Procedures usually include normal (UOP) and emergency shutdown procedures (EOP) as well. OMCSI works very close with our clients to ensure safety is first in any procedure. [back] MAINTENANCE DESCRIPTIONS developed by OMCSI are "Reader-Friendly" documents that describe the function and maintenance of the particular systems or piece of equipment. A typical maintenance description is outlined as follows:
[back] PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES include step-by-step procedures to properly care for equipment and/or systems as recommended by the OEM. These procedures often are very similar to what is provided in the OEM manual, but there is typically value-added in the sense that tools are described, only those steps applicable to the model in question are discussed, and consequences of not maintaining the equipment is emphasized. [back] [back] ALARM RESPONSE MANUALS are created for the benefit of operational personnel. It takes any alarm that might occur, describes the consequences of the alarm (in other words, what might the result be if no action is taken along with set points and any correlating data that might be useful, this information is included as well). [back] TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDES takes the alarm response manual to the next level. In other words staff or personnel must now determine what is the "root-cause" of the alarm and determine corrective actions. This action might be to replace a faulty pressure switch, to replace a "plugged" filter, to commence a clean cycle on some system, or to change it over. [back] [back] FLOW DIAGRAMS a graphical depiction of the major flows of data and how these flows are linked or use a schematic representation of an algorithm or a process. A flowchart is one of the seven basic tools of quality control, which also includes the histogram, Pareto Chart, check sheet, control chart, cause-and-effect diagram, and scatter diagram. [back] EMERGENCY RESPONSE MANUAL is a plan to address the protection of life, health, safety, environment and property during emergencies. This plan can cover an specific item or can be all inclusive of the facility. [back] SYSTEM POWER POINT developed by OMCSI is "User-Friendly" documents that describe the function and operation of the particular systems in Power Point or a group of systems as for an orientation program. These systems can be broken down into modules with voice over and used as training documents with questions attached. [back] SWITCHING AND TAGGING PREPARATION for any equipment or complete plant, OMCSI will develop or work with existing program, provide updates for reengineering or aid in uploading of information into your existing program. [back] QUESTION BANKS developed for training on specific equipment or system or may be developed for:
OMCSI uses Exam View Assessment Suite Software, a product of FSCreations Inc, Cincinnati Ohio (see Links). OMCSI can help you prepare banks of questions for testing as needed. We also develop online testing. [back] INTEGRATED WORKPLACE TRAINING STRATEGIC PROGRAMS Integrated Workplace Training Strategic Programs consist of curriculums, lesson plans, and a selection of generic training materials, implementation plans, and plant specific training materials. Several categories of programs are offered for large and small thermal utility plants, combustion turbine plants, hydroelectric plants, diesel plants, refinery plants, cogeneration , Production plant and process steam facilities. Services provided as part of implementing an Integrated Workplace Training Strategic Programs:
